Read 21: Fluency
(K-3rd grade Reading Skills)
An on-line program based on the Science of Reading to get your student reading at the 2nd grade level or above. This program requires a wi-fi connected tablet or laptop and uses speech recognition to give instant feedback as your child reads aloud.
The program includes:
- A 25-minute initial assessment that measures seven essential reading skills. Lessons that cover skills that your child already knows well will be skipped.
- 28 lessons that cover reading skills from kindergarten to 3rd grade and above.
- Lesson reviews for failed lessons tailored to your specific student’s needs.
- A brief dyslexia screener after Lesson 4.
- Four checkpoint assessments that measure your student’s reading ability and progress as they move through the program.
- Parental reports that let you track your child’s progress and scores.
Most students see one or more grade levels of improvement after completing 19 lessons and two to three grade levels of improvement after completing all 28 lessons.
